Mr. Naveen Jindal conferred with Justice P.N. Bhagwati Award for his outstanding contribution to legal education
New Delhi, December 06, 2011: The Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University, Mr. Naveen Jindal has been conferred with the Justice P.N. Bhagwati Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to legal education and corporate philanthropy.

Instituted by the Capital Foundation, this award was presented by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, at a function in New Delhi on Dec. 6th evening at which Supreme Court Judge, Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir was also present.

University of Texas, Dallas names its School of Management after Mr Naveen Jindal
New Delhi, October 7, 2011: In a first for an Indian, the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) has named its School of Management after noted Industrialist and Parliamentarian, Mr. Naveen Jindal. The honour is in recognition of Mr. Jindal’s exceptional distinction in the fields of entrepreneurship and public service, unqualified reputation for honesty, personal integrity and high standards of personal and professional character.

High Court opens the door for the common man to fly the Tiranga at Night
Bilaspur, August 10^th 2010 : In a landmark Judgement Hon’ble High Court of Bilaspur quashed the FIR and the complaint against the management of Naveen Jindal led Jindal Power Limited and also quashes the order of Chief Judicial magistrate, Raigarh, dated 4th March 2008 for flying the National Flag during night. The court in its judgement said that not lowering the flag at night is no violation of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. This historical judgement opens the door for the common man to fly the Tiranga at night.

It may surprise many to know that according the to Rule No. 349 (XIV) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Lok Sabha Members of the Parliament were not allowed to wear badges of any kind while seated in the House.

Naveen Jindal files nomination from Kurukshetra
Kurukshetra, April 17 : Industrialist Naveen Jindal today filed his nomination papers as a Congress candidate from the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana. He had defeated Mr Abhay Singh Chautala, son of former Chief Minister O.P.Chautala, by a margin of over 1.60 lakh votes in 2004.

Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the State Chief Minister, Mr Phool Singh Mulana, the Pradesh Congress Committee Chief, and Mr Jindal’s family members were with him at the time of filing of the nomination. The family members included mother Mrs Savitri Jindal, who is a Minister in the Haryana government, industrialist brothers Mr P. R. Jindal, Mr Sajjan Jindal, and Mr Ratan Jindal, Wife Mrs Shallu Jindal, and sisters.

Mr Jindal’s supporters had organized a massive rally in the city today. While other local leaders continued with the rally at a distance, the chief minister, the PCC chief , Mr Jindal and his family members left the rally venue at about noon to file the nomination which was scheduled for 12.30 PM.

After coming back, the Chief Minister told the enthusiastic crowds that they must take into account the development works done by the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government, the Congress government in the state headed by him , and Mr Jindal’s performance in the constituency before casting their votes.
