O.P. Jindal Park at Kurukshetra

The ‘O. P. Jindal Park and Musical Fountain’ was inaugurated in Kurukshetra (Haryana), by Sh. Bhupender Singh Hooda, Honorable Chief Minister, Haryana in the gracious presence of Smt. Savitri Jindal, Chairperson, Jindal Organisation & Minister Urban Development & Housing, Govt. of Haryana. The ‘O P Jindal Park and Musical Fountain’ has been developed in the fond memory of Late Shri O. P. Jindal (7th August 1930 – 31st March 2005) Power Minister, Haryana (2005) renowned industrialist, philanthropist, saviour of farmers and the weaker sections of society.

Along with this, four mobile medical vans were also was also flagged of by the Chief Minister, which are deployed for Hisar, Kaithal, Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra districts. It would go in the villages’ area to provide them medical facility at their doorstep. These vans have been purchased by the personal fund of Mr. Naveen Jindal. The cost of the vans are around 64 lakh rupees.

Growth has been a way of life for Mr. Naveen Jindal and his motto all along has been ‘Growth with a Social Conscience.’ He has been contributing to the development of underprivileged regions and working towards forming a better society. With a serious endeavour to enhance the quality of life and make positive difference to the millions of lives, the ‘O P Jindal Park and Musical Fountain’ has been developed in Kurukshetra.

Spread across an area of 14 acres, the ‘O P Jindal Park and Musical Fountain’ is dedicated to the Nation in fond memory of the great leader, Sh. O. P. Jindal. The park has a Musical Fountain – the biggest of its kind in Northern India. The main focus in the park is the memorable garden, where a beautiful torso bust (4ft ht.) of Late Sh. O P Jindal, has been built in his memory. Sh. O P Jindal was a ‘Karmyogi’ and his core philosophy of life was based on ‘Panchkarma’ i.e Dharma, Satya, Tyag, Shanti and Samriddhi.

This park aims to provide a different experience to people in various age groups, whether a toddler or an elderly person; there is something in it for everyone. There is a toddlers’ area with lots of colorful swings, sports area for grown-ups, picnic area, sit outs for elderly people, attractive animal zoo area, meditation garden, jogging area and a striking rose garden. The ‘O P Jindal Park’ is the place where one can get inner peace, explore themselves in a meditative environment. Besides the scenic beauty and entertainment, one can also feel positive energy and spiritual vibes. A place where children and families can go and have a good time.

Ms. Shallu Jindal is always besides Mr. Jindal in his endeavours in giving back to the society, whether it is Corporate Social Responsibility at the JSPL plant at Chhattisgarh or his constituency, Kurukshetra. It is very much evident from her undying efforts in the ‘O P Jindal Park’. Since it’s founding, Ms. Jindal with her intellect and creative support, has worked towards creating this unique park. She visualised the park as a "landscape charged with positive energy to recharge a person in mind, body and spirit". “Healthy body has a Healthy Mind” – She firmly believes in this quote. The park is a place where one can expand mind, rejuvenate senses and soothe soul.

Mr. Naveen Jindal and Ms. Shallu Jindal, along with the architect Ms. Kavita Ahuja, Dr. C.B.S. Sengar (Jindal Organisation), Mr. C.K. Jain (Jindal Organisation) and other team members of Jindal Organisation have worked hard to accomplish this mega project.

The ‘O P Jindal Park and Musical Fountain’ is a dedication to the Nation by Jindal Family, on the first death anniversary of this noble leader.
